Trading Weed For An iPad

Two idiots posted a Craigslist ad hoping to trade a 3rd generation iPod Touch and a 1/4 ounce of weed for a new iPad. They got arrested and will soon be trading their asses for cigarettes in the slammer.

The pot was conveniently placed in a jar on a scale, so potential traders--and police--would now exactly what they were getting into with the deal. When undercover officers were offered the pot during a meeting, arrests--and tech history--were made.

Both men currently face charges for possession of an illegal substance and conspiracy to sell Marijuana.

Wow, you did it so wrong it isn't even funny. First off all, you weren't offering nearly enough weed. Secondly, pretty much everything else about your stupid plan. I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't a very good one.

Music Video Shot Using 4 iPad 2s [Video]

Remedy Films shot and released the music video for 'Need' by Eddy using 4 iPad 2s only 20 hours after the device was released.

This music video was shot solely on 4 ipad 2's. The video was released in 20 hours of when the ipad 2 came out.

"We knew it wasn't designed as a professional videocamera in the slightest, so we would be Stuck with whatever results we got. We probably shouldn't have filmed in a dark setting, but it actually worked well in a "party" environment, plus it fit the song perfectly! We still treated the cameras as "professional cameras." we had one mounted to a steadicam rig, one was on a Kessler Crane Cineslider, and the other one was on a DIY hand held rig. The fourth iPad was held by Eddy for a few shots of her singing and dancing.

After being in line for 8 hours, buying 3 iPads, filming for 5 hours, and editing for 12 hours, we were exhausted. Looking back at the whole project, I am very glad that we did it. It was a great experience, and fun doing something first, that was history making."

Where To Find Angry Bird's Golden Eggs

1. Location: Main menu
Tap the sun on the level selection screen a few times for the golden egg to pop out.

2. Location: Main menu
Watch the full credits, and tap the golden egg that appears at the end.

3. Location: Any level, after unlocking World 2 Level 14
Open the 'help' menu (? button), and click through to the white birds. Tap the golden egg.

4. Location: World 1, Level 8
Tap the chest a few times for the egg to appear.

5. Location: World 2, Level 2
Burst the beach ball for the egg to appear.

6. Location: Poached Eggs
Grab three stars on every stage in Worlds 1, 2 and 3, which make up "Poached Eggs", the game's first level pack.

7. Location: World 4, Level 7
Pinch and zoom to see a golden egg perched high above the game area on a clifftop. The only bird that will reach it is the yellow one, so use up all your other birds and aim with the yellow bird. It will take a few attempts, trust me.

8. Location: World 5, Level 19
The top right brick (slope shaped) on the leftmost tower contains the egg. Smash it (the egg-dropping white bird is your easiest bet) to grab the egg.

9. Location: Mighty Hoax
Grab three stars on every stage in Worlds 4 and 5, which make up "Mighty Hoax".

10. Location: World 6, Level 14
Zoom out to see the floating yellow balloon underneath the treehouse. The only way to hit it (which unlocks the egg) is to accurately send a boomerang bird back on itself. No small feat, and will likely take many goes to perfect.

11. Location: World 8 Menu
This cheeky egg is hiding to the far right of World 8's level select menu. Drag the screen left, starting with your pinky at the far right of the screen, to see the egg. Once it's in view, it will be yours.

12. Location: World 8, Level 15
Another egg inaccessible to any bird other than the windy, bendy boomerang bird that turns back on itself with a screen tap. You could try and use the bouncy pink stuff with the yellow and white birds, but your best bet is when the boomerag.

13. Location: Danger Above
Score three stars on every stage in Worlds 6, 7 and 8, which make up "Danger Above", the game's third level pack.

14. Location: World 9, Level 14
This cheeky egg is wearing a hard hat, the card! He's hanging out at the very edge of the stage, and you'll need to get rid of that big tower to have a crack at him. Once the tower falls, though, he's pretty easy to hit. Won't take many goes.

15. Location: World 10, Level 3
The egg is in the rubber ducky, so crack the quacker to retrieve your treat. No easy task, but aim high and have a bird crash down from the sky to reach it.

16. Location: World 11, Level 15
This cheeky egg is hiding underneath the stage and requires, you guessed it, the boomerang bird. While this tricky stunt will have you pulling your hair out, at least you'll likely get the "Backwards Compatible" Game Center achievement in the process for firing 10 birds in the wrong direction.

17. Location: The Big Setup
Score three stars on every stage in Worlds 9, 10 and 11, which make up "The Big Setup", the game's fourth and final level pack.

iOS 4.3 Beta 2 Confirms Camera, FaceTime, PhotoBooth for iPad 2

An image found in the iOS 4.3 beta 2 firmware confirms that Apple will bring a Camera, FaceTime, and PhotoBooth to the iPad.

The image homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png was found by MacRumors in the latest beta and is used by iOS to show a preview of your wallpaper selection. Notice the new icons for Camera, FaceTime, and PhotoBooth!

HANDS ON: A Paintbrush Stylus for iPad [VIDEO]

This week, I had a chance to review the Nomad Brush, a beautiful, handcrafted stylus designed for painting and sketching on the iPad.

The stylus feels and looks like an actual paintbrush, complete with a 5.5-inch wooden handle and a mix of natural and synthetic fibers selected for their conductive properties. When I first came across this demo videoof the stylus last week, I was skeptical that the iPad‘s touchscreen surface would be able to pick up the stylus’s soft bristles, but I’m happy to report that the iPad easily responds to the touch. It allows for free-flowing brush strokes much like a real paintbrush, and an elegance of line I was previously unable to achieve using my fingers or a regular stylus.

Since we’ve only used the brush for a day, we can neither guarantee that it will work a year or even a month from now with heavy use, nor whether the bristles will hold their shape. (As a side note, we’re still looking for a way to keep those bristles intact while traveling; I plan to use my standard canvas brush holder in the meantime.) Given how much we plan to use the thing, we should have a pretty good idea of how it holds up by the time the brush goes on sale in early February.

The Nomad Brush was conceived by Don Lee, a 39-year-old architect based in New York. After 14 years as an architect, Lee decided to take a year-long break from his profession “to rejuvenate [his] creative side,” he explains.

As part of the rejuvenation process, Lee took up sketching on the iPad. “The finger is by far the most efficient way to navigate the iPad, but when it came to sketching, I just couldn’t get used to it,” Lee says. “As a problem solver by nature, I started to tinker and found a solution, and that’s how the Nomad Brush came about.”

At launch, only a black version with a 5.5-inch handle will be available for purchase, followed by a version with a white handle. In the future, Lee plans to create additional versions with varying brush head sizes and handle lengths. Pricing has not yet been disclosed, though given that each stylus is hand made, we expect it will be a bit pricier than the typical stylus.

Apple to Replace Home Button on iPad 2 and iPhone 5 with Multi-touch Gestures – Report

Well, well, well, what do we have here… According to sources at BGR, Apple is going to drop home button on both the iPad 2 and iPhone 5. You will be controlling your next-gen iPhone or iPad usingmulti-touch gestures which has been introduced with iOS 4.3 for iPad.

We have exclusively been told that the reason Apple just added multitouch gestures for the iPad in the latest iOS 4.3 beta is because the iPad will be losing the home button. Yes, we are told that Apple, at some point in time, will remove the home button from the iPad’s design. Instead of button taps, you will use new multitouch gestures to navigate to the home screen and also to launch the app switcher.

That’s not all, however. In addition to the home button disappearing from the iPad, we’re told that this change will make its way over to the iPhone as well. Our source said Apple employees are already testing iPads and iPhones with no home buttons on the Apple campus, and it’s possible we will see this new change materialize with the next-generation iPad and iPhone devices set to launch this year.

It has been said that Steve Jobs didn’t want any physical buttons on the original iPhone at first, and it looks like he may soon get his wish.

Apple is also said to be bringing popular OS X applications like Photo Booth and iLife apps to iOS around the same time as iPad 2’s launch.

Additionally, we’re told Apple’s popular photo-taking application, Photo Booth, will be appearing on the next iPad. It’s also very possible that we’ll see iLife apps for iOS unveiled around the iPad 2 release as well.
